Calling All Superfans: VIZIO Announces Search for College Football’s Biggest Fan to Win VIP Package to VIZIO® BCS National Championship


VIZIO 2014 BCS National Championship Fan Throwdown Invites Loyal Fans to Prove Their Fandom to Win Once-In-A-Lifetime Experience

Irvine, CA — December 3, 2013 — VIZIO, America’s #1 large size LCD TV company 1 , announced today the launch of its VIZIO ® 2014 BCS National Championship Game Fan Throwdown contest.  Searching for the nation’s biggest college football superfan, VIZIO is looking for the most-die hard loyalists to submit a video or photo showing their commitment to the sport, its teams and traditions.  The entrant who proves to be the most fanatic will win a VIP trip for two to the VIZIO 2014 BCS National Championship in Pasadena, CA, on January 6, 2014 and a 55” VIZIO M-Series Smart TV.

To enter the VIZIO BCS Fan Throwdown contest, fans are invited to visit VIZIO’s Facebook page or www.VIZIO.com/BCSFanThrowdown where they can upload a short video or photo proving they are college football’s biggest and most devoted fan.  By entering the contest, fans will automatically join VIZIO Fandemonium, an online social community that allows fans to participate in wide range of activities, earning them points they can redeem for unique prizes like signed memorabilia, VIZIO products, Hulu Plus, M-GO™, Netflix and Pandora One subscriptions, and unique once-in-a-lifetime fan experiences.

Superfans can upload their entries to the VIZIO BCS National Championship Fan Throwdown starting today through December 15, 2013.  A panel of judges will then select the 10 most compelling entries that best convey passion, creativity and love for college football.  From there, fans can log on to www.VIZIO.com/BCSFanThrowdown beginning December 16, 2013 to check out the Top 10 entries and cast their vote for their favorite finalist to help determine the winner. VIZIO Fandemonium members also receive points for voting to help them in their quest for prizes like a VIZIO big screen or sound bar to enjoy the game from home.  Voting will remain open until December 22, 2013.
