This section only applies to customers who are residents of California under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) and other California privacy laws (together “California Laws”).
Access and deletion. If you desire to access or delete your personal information, please click here or call (855) 472-8817. We will process your request to exercise your Rights in accordance with California Laws. When a request is made, we may first take steps to verify your identity to protect your privacy and security. Further, if you designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, you may have to submit information confirming such designation. Subject to California Laws, we will not act upon a request until your identity has been sufficiently verified.
“Do Not Sell My Personal Information.” VIZIO devices are equipped with technical means for you to control disclosure of certain information directly on the device. These means are available to all users, whether or not the transfer is deemed a “sale” involving “personal information” as a legal matter under California Laws. We also offer controls and options related to information collected via cookies or other tracking technologies.
Viewing Data. VIZIO display units are equipped with Automated Content Recognition (“ACR”) technology which is able to detect which commercially available programs or ads are playing on the device. We call this “Viewing Data.” The ACR technology is activated only if a user gives opt-in consent.
Toggle switch in Settings. Viewing Data collection can also be controlled from an on-off toggle switch in Settings on your VIZIO TV or display.
Turning Viewing Data off will not affect the performance of your VIZIO device.
Changing the setting from “on” to “off” will trigger the deletion of historical logs of Viewing Data for the device from our database.

Please note that if your TV or display is ever reset to factory settings, the device will return to its default settings, and Viewing Data will be reset to the “OFF” position. You may again turn the feature on by following the procedure described above.
Turning the Viewing Data feature “off” or “on” will affect only the TV or display where you have made that selection.
Reminder: When you turn off collection of Viewing Data (if it was previously turned on), logs of Viewing Data will be deleted from our database.
