Did you know?

VIZIO Active LED Zones™ light up in tandem with the content on screen, independently and continuously adjusting their brightness to enrich highlights and shadows with greater precision.

Full-Array LED Backlighting

Did you know?

VIZIO’s Full-Array LED backlight design covers every corner of the screen to more accurately deliver peak brightness to highlights, deeper black levels to shadow detail and greater light uniformity overall – compared to the limited capabilities of common edge-lit backlight designs.

Standard Dynamic Range

Simulation of Standard Dynamic Range TV – depth, details and colors look bleached, faded and grainy

High Dynamic Range

Simulation of VIZIO High Dynamic Range Display – depth, details and colors are rich, saturated and smooth

Did you know?

Every color has a range of light and dark shades. Most LCD TVs support Standard Dynamic Range, or up to 256 shades of a given color – resulting in defects like patchy banding and detail loss. VIZIO HDR TVs / Displays deliver High Dynamic Range – up to 1,024 shades per color. The result is a picture with smooth gradations of color that more closely resembles reality.

Did you know?

Most of today’s content uses a narrow and antiquated color system that’s more than 20 years old. VIZIO’s Ultra Color Spectrum delivers much more color. Combined with the expanded shading of HDR, the result is more than one billion possible colors and shades.

VIZIO Upscaling

Simulation of VIZIO Upscaling – picture quality goes from blurry and pixelated to sharp and crisp

Did you know?

VIZIO’s powerful Spatial Scaling Engine and VM50 Ultra HD Engine transform large pixels into 4 smaller pixels, and then intelligently colorize, shade and illuminate those pixels to create finer edges, denser color, and an overall sharper image.

1080P HD

Simulation of Full HD resolution – lower number of pixels more sparsely distributed

4K UHD

Simulation of VIZIO 4K Ultra HD resolution – higher number of pixels more densely distributed

Did you know?

4K Ultra High Definition TVs / Displays deliver quadruple the pixels of 1080p HD. That’s 8.3 million screen pixels with 4 times more detail, definition and crispness. Even when viewed up close, the smallest details stay as stunning and beautiful as the big picture.

Brighter From
The Back.

VIZIO's Full-Array LED backlight spans the entire screen for precision dimming and superior light uniformity. Edge-Lit designs can result in poor light uniformity with light-bleed from the edges and unwanted "blooming" around bright details.
