Apparel companies, technology consultants and an avocado distributor were among the companies honored at the Business Journal's first fast-growing private companies luncheon in Irvine.

The companies honored were ranked by percentage revenue growth from June 2005 to June 2007. To qualify, companies had to be privately held, headquartered in Orange County and have at least $300,000 annual revenue in 2005.

The Business Journal's list of the 100 fast-growing private companies is set to appear in Monday's print edition.

The top 10 companies from the list were presented with awards commending their growth.
