VIZIO Sound Bars Get Major Makeover And Improved Sound Quality For 2013

Vizio stepped up its game in the sound-bar department this year at CES. We visited the company to lay eyes on its 70-inch Ultra HDTV and redesigned M-series TV line, but ended up getting sucked into its sound bar demo room. We’re glad we did.

Vizio has unified its design approach, removed the display from its sound bars to place it on a compact remote control, added Bluetooth, Optical and Coaxial digital audio connections, and maintained two analog audio inputs. Perhaps more importantly, the company has improved its sound bars’ audio quality by a significant margin. Even the $99 two-channel version put out some impressive bass and stereo effects.

Check out our video for a full run-down on the differences between the three models and further details on our impressions of Vizio’s improved sound quality.
