Vizio introduces ECO HD
Irvine-based Vizio, the world’s No. 1 seller of HDTVs, created its first green TV – the ECO HD. Although all Vizio televisions meet or exceed Energy Star ratings, the ECO HD uses 65 fewer watts than standard 32-inch LCD TVs and uses 30 percent less mercury than average sets. It also comes in reduced, recyclable packaging and has a germ-free remote. $500; vizio.com
