5 Best TVs Under $1,000 of 2018

The Vizio P55-F1 is one of the best TVs you can get for under $1,000. It delivers very good overall picture quality, has excellent motion handling, and outstanding input lag. It also has great dark scene performance thanks to the full array local dimming feature, like the X900F.

It has an excellent native contrast ratio, very good peak brightness, and excellent black uniformity. Unfortunately, the image degrades when viewed at an angle though, and it handles lower resolution content differently from most other TVs. While we don’t think most people will notice this, it might bother some people if you watch a lot of DVDs or similar older content.

The Vizio P Series is better than the NU8000 overall, but unfortunately, it has very limited smart features and can be very difficult to find in some areas. Overall though, it is a great TV that should please most people.
