purchased an active subwoofer!! GREAT!!. Review by silverback

I'm suprised by the sound quality,of this bar,and I like it .I also purchased the SUB! to go with it,I purchased A sony SA-W2500 SUB to make it complete.for about $99.00 it is satisfactory for a small living room. with the trusurround HD,truvolume features it has fantastic sound quality! I haven't even used the digital optical connection yet. my direcTV receivers optical port has been well used by previous customers, and doesn't fit properly,so i found an adapter to use with the digital audio coaxial connector.radio shack has adapters,I purchased a coaxial to optical module! this will convert audio from the digital coaxial connection, problem solved! PS: I will let you know how it sounds in the very near future. over all,i'm pleased with it,and avcourse music sounds good with the RCA connection to the bar,you can also connect to notebooks, ect.NOTE: you do have to set devices to PCM,and PCM stream for proper sound, but is still good sound quality.it's still DOLBY DIGITAL ,also NOTE: this SUB model, doesn't accept, some DOLBY PROLOGIC II formats,DOES accept DOLBY,DOLBY DTS formates.

More than I expected Review by SaayWhaat

Just purchased the Vizio HD Sound Bar Model VSB200 for $98 at Walmart, after a 2012 Presidential debate with the wife. We have a 55' Samsung Smart TV and I was looking for a sound bar with great quality because the Samsung sound bar sucks and famously known for breaking after a year.

The Vizio Sound bar was excellent so I set the right mood put on a movie with the wife and watch as her eyes swelled up in joy, then I asked her, "Do you want me to return the bar?", she said "you better not it's a keeper and it sounds great!" Man cave victory!

Great product, great sound Review by Ali

Recently purchased the VIZIO VSB210WS Universal HD Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer for my boyfriend for our anniversary and he loved it. The sound is great and pretty easy to install. I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of ipod docking station would work best with this soundbar.

Comcast Remote Update: Subwoofer Codes Review by Rick

For TheShmonz:

Try these codes:
00105 Sub Down
00040 Sub Up

Replace the 5-digit EFC code with those, and of course you'll have to pick a button to assign them to since the comcast remote doesnt have those buttons. You may have to try a few different buttons, i don't imagine all of the remote buttons are programmable.

Glad i could help!

Rick

Sounds great/ need remote help Review by Jackie

Great sounding Sound bar. I asked for this for Christmas. Easy setup using the optical cable. Tried programming my comcast remote by the instructions from Rick. Thanks for the tips. The only issue I had with the programming is I can program the volume to either go up or down. I will not do both. Any help will be appreciated.

Excellent choice! Review by Tracy

After much review, comparing, and on the merit of my 37"VIizio flatscreen TV I asked for this soundbar as a Christmas gift t. Opened and hooked it up yesterday and am extremely happy with the sound! We raised the TV up 2" behind the soundbar and I have not had any problems with the remote as I have read that other people have. While my hubby is quite happy with the bass from the soundbar itself, I am looking at subwoofers only because I totally enjoy rocking, Only thing I am wondering is how to get my IPod properly connected. I use an Altec Lansing speaker system to dock my IPod and it does not have an audio output. Vizio manual says to not hook up IPod using headphone output as it can damage to the devices. Anybody have any suggestions?

Would recommend this Vizio soundbar to anyone who wants the sound experience and does not have a lot of room or money!!!

great soundbar for a great price Review by Brandon T

I've wanted this thing for a while and I got one for my birthday the other day. I was very excited and it turns out that this thing is great for the price you pay for it. The truHD and tv truvolume thing make my tv sound so much better. I had speakers all over the room for surround sound and this sounds even better and it's much easier.

And a VERY BIG THANK YOU to RICK who posted above the details on how to program your comcast remote to work with this bar. You're the man I wish I could shake your hand for the trouble you've saved me.

Perfect Compliment to a Big Picture Review by Andrew

Bought this to compliment our Vizio 42" HDTV. It's no secret that the internal TV speakers on 99% of all flat screens just plain suck. This sound bar is a very nice addition. My wife usually doesn't appreciate technology and was skeptical thinking I just blew $90 (on sale)....until she heard it. It makes a huge difference in the overall HD experience.

For those having issues with the remote, here's what you do. Remove the mesh cover from the front of the sound bar. On the far right, you'll see a small piece of foam padding protecting the remote sensor eye and LED lights. The protective foam padding can be "carefully" trimmed away from the sensor. You may even choose to 'trim' the plastic skeletal structure from the speaker cover that's directly in front of the sensor when the cover is in place. Once these obstacles are out of the way, the remote should work flawlessly. I read this 'how-to' article elsewhere on the internet and decided to try it. My remote works flawlessly.

Sound bar blocks remote control TV signal Review by IslandRaul

We were so thrilled when we found this sound bar on sale for $78. Problem is that we can't change stations on the TV or call up Netflix or Amazon because the sound bar blocks the IR port on the TV. We have a simple set up with our 37" Vizio sitting on a corner table. We placed the sound bar in front of the TV and found that it blocks the IR remote port on the lower left of the TV. Can't change stations. We realize we could buy a stand to lift the TV but is there any way to avoid spending more money and still have the sound bar work?

How to SUCESSFULLY program your comcast remote for Vizio Soundbar Review by Rick

Great product, great price. After much research, here is a step-by-step for getting your Vizio Soundbar to work with the Comcast remote using EFC codes (mine is the newer charcoal grey one, works great!)

Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 11144 (2 blinks)
Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 994 - Setup - 00169 - Vol Up - Should get 2 blinks
Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 994 - Setup - 00168 - Vol Down - Should get 2 blinks
Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 994 - Setup - 00037 - Mute - Should get 2 blinks
Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 994 - Setup - 00165 - Power - Should get 2 blinks
Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 994 - Setup - 00164 - Input - Should get 2 blinks

These are optional, I didn't use them:
Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 994 - Setup - 00036 - <button to use for TVOL> - Should get 2 blinks
Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 994 - Setup - 00101 - <button to use for TSHD> - Should get 2 blinks

Then set the volume control on the remote and other settings according to the Remote's manual.

ENJOY!! Hope this helps someone...

Great product!!! Review by Sundevil 08

There is a huge difference between this and the standard speakers on my lcd tv. I have a 37 inch vizio and this compliments it perfectly. Purchased it at walmart for $98 and have it hooked up to my tv via an optical cable from amazon ($5). This direct connection from the sound bar to tv allows all my devices (blu ray, xbox, satelite...etc) to play through my sound bar. Only complaint is the remote, but i hope to have my logitech remote to control the sound bar soon. Purchase this and you will not regret it...

Spectacular Review by Russ

Bought this sound bar to compliment the 37" Vizio I bought the month before. The sound is fantastic. The remote is to small so I went to Wal-Mart and bought the VIZIO Universal Remote and the problem is solved. Also, the remote is just plain COOL.

good Review by esq.

I was skeptical on this since it was 139.99 at Wal-Mart, although the sound is way better. I myself am using the optic cable and I also hooked up a subwoofer to it, although the subwoofer isn't getting enough signal I'm guessing since I have the gain set to max and frequency set high. I am receiving some bass but only if the soundbar is on quite loud. So I think I may have to try a different sub or a different connection I guess

Great Review by duano

I've had my eye on this soundbar ever since I read that a consumer review publication had good things to say about it. I originally had a Sharp soundbar hooked up to my 42" LG and the sound was better than the TV's speakers and I was satisfied. That was until I got the Vizio soundbar, Wow, what a difference. This is sooooooooooooo much better...and the price makes it well worth it.

Remote problem easy to fix... Review by Don

The sound bar is great, but that remote!!! I even bought an upgraded Vizio remote (one that also controlled volume on the subwoofer). Neither worked well and in a condo situation, sometimes you want to lower the volume quickly...neighbors and such.

On the original REMOTE, I took a small flat head screwdriver and popper the plastic covering over the bulb INWARD. It popped in very easily and I just shook the remote until the plastic covering fell out.

It's like night and day. Quick response and no continuous pushing on the buttons.

Hope this will help others experiencing the same difficulty.

Great sound bar - now I want the sub Review by AlanS

I purchased a 55" led tv recently. All the reviews said the pic was great but no the internal speakers. I ordered this sound bar before the tv arrived and was satisfied with the audio. The sb arrived & I figured I would try it before returning it. I loved it so I kept it. Now I need an inexpensive r sub woofer, anyone have any recommendations?

VSB200 Great! Remote-blah Review by lilchollie

I read many of the comments about this machine and the one from Mr. Gadget (12/30/10) that helped me mentioned taking the front cover off. I tried that to no avail. But I did shatter the little piece of plastic that protects the IR signal bulb. Guess what? The remote works just like Vizio intended it to. Evidently the signal could not make it through the plastic and on to the Sound Bar. Thanks Mr. Gadget!

Soundbar remote Review by windward

As others wrote, remote is terrible. So, as others wrote, I went to Radio Shack and purchased the Logitech 300 universal. BE CAREFUL!! It took the Logitech help desk 1 hour to get me up and running. What we did is NOT covered in their website directions-not even close. We finally got it and all is fine. I am happy with the sound-far superior to my LG37" built ins. Glad I did not give up. The tech told me-"well, all computers are different!"

Great Product! Review by Paul

I bought the sound bar three days ago from Wal-mart. I was skeptical about it at first, but after using it for a couple of days it's great! The sound is better than I expected and it was easy to hook up to my LG TV. I used the optical cable which made it easy to just plug and play.
I would recommend Logitech 300i Universal Remote to go with it. The remote that came with the sound bar was small and I had to stand almost next to it to get it to work. For an additional $30 it really makes it easier to use and I got rid of two other remotes.

Excellent Complement & Compromise Review by Mike In Bama

Recently bought this sound bar to complement my Vizio M470NV. Being a "Razor" thin design the small speakers don't quite have room filling sound. I don't have the space or desire to fill my room with more electronics.

With the supplied cables I did experience the low level noise. Replacing them with an optical cable eliminated the problem. The sound wasn't exactly what I wanted initially, but an adjustment on the television sound equalizer quickly fixed that.

Like most everyone else I am not a fan of the supplied remote. Bluetooth capability like the Razor TV would have been most welcome. That would be a feature paying more for. I think I will be adding a lanyard to help keep up with it.

I am very pleased with the performance of this sound bar. I can't honestly complain about anything for the price. If you are looking for an attractive, effective, low cost complement for your flat screen, I recommend this product without hesitation.

Remote - Solution! Review by Oldbroad

I recently purchased a 39" Toshiba HD TV for my bedroom, I have it in a large armoire, and the sound was lousy, very tinney. I live in a condo, it is for my bedroom. I have an upstairs neighbor, whose bedroom is above mine. I bought a soundbar from Best Buy for $169 with a subwoofer and the bass (on a 1 setting) was too much - my neighbors hated me. A friend recommened this Vizio sound bar and I purchased it from Costco for $89. I love the sound (without disturbing my upstairs neighbor) it is very rich! I didn't like the remote control, it's very light weight, flimsy, and with my arthritic hands, I couldn't get a grip on it - SO - I velcroed it to the back of my Comcast remote and problem solved! I'm happy, and it doesn't get lost in all my down bedding! I love it so much that tomorrow, I"m going back to Costco and buying one for my living room tv.

nice sound! Review by nerm

I purchased this sound bar from Costco the other day and all I can say is WOW. I have a 42' LG plasma that only has an optical audio out (?), but after hooking this unit what a difference it made. My only complaint is trying to control this with a Dish Network remote, if anyone has got this to work let me know. I tried all the codes I got from Vizio tech support but none worked. Other than the remote issue I would highly recommend this product.

I have been struggling for months to find a cost effective sound soultion for the school district where I work. I happended to stop in at Costco and saw this product for $89.00 my brother recently installed this complete surround system in his home and I loved it. I did a few simple test with this product right in the store and with in 20 minutes took it and did a demonstration in front of 3 of the top people at my district. All I did was plug my phone into it and played a soung for them so they could hear the quality of sound. All 3 of them could not believe the sound!!!!! And were completely blown away by the price! I can't recommend this product more not only for the price but the quality of it is nothing short of incredible!

Impressed Review by Jim

I needed a simple elegant light weight solution for my HDTV and the Vizio High Definition Suondbar worked perfect.

The sound quality was excellent with good detail and clear voice, mid bass is good and highs are clear and detailed. The speaker has a sub-out which is good for add bass.

Multiple inputs work well and are easy to read and select with light blue LED lights to identify inputs.

The speaker sounds best when using the optical input however the analog inputs sound an nearly as well.

The speaker looks great, is solid and light weight. Easy to install, feet come attached but can be used to mount the speaker on the wall or to sit on a stand.
Conclusion
As long as you have moderate expectations and need a low cost, light weight , audio solution for your HDTV the Vizio High Definition Sounbar is a good value with good audio quality.

I recommend the soundbar for those who want a clean solution for those wanting to improve the sound for their HDTV.

Ilove stereo, because if the picture is in front, thats what I want the sound to come from. If you talk to me, is it in surround sond. This is a powerful clean sound system which defies my old 18 x 24 boxes w/ cones. It is impressive from Ozzy to opera. ? where is the sub-woofer for the rca jack on the back? I want one for added depth. Please release this separately.

Great Sound, Fair Price Review by dave the ace

I purchased this unit at CostCo for $89. This is very favorable compared to the $300 range for other brands. The stereo effect is excellent and the dynamic range is a huge improvement over TV speakers or an external stereo speaker pair.

I connected the TOSLINK optical digital cannection from the TV to the VSB200, so that any input to the TV would feed the sound bar.

Note: to make this work, I configured my DVD/Blu-Ray player and cable set top boxes to produce stereo L-PCM digital streams; you cannot feed Dolby 5.1 into the VSB. That's what causes the static sound.

I also fed the analog stereo audio feeds from the cable box to the VSB so that I can select the QAM stream, bypassing the cable box, in necessary. Since HDTV stations feed 5.1 audio on some shows, it's necessary to switch to the analog input of the VSB.

All scenarios are handled ! Yay !

Good sound, good value Review by ms75

For the price, I think the VSB200 gets the job done. Once I disconnected the optical line and used the RCA jacks that came with the unit, I eliminated the crackling/popping sound and the unit seems to be working fine. Ditch the remote and pick up a Logitech Harmony 300. You can program the unit right from your computer and it works without a hitch. I got mine for 30 bucks at Radio Shack.

Remote control Review by Mr.gadget

Thank you Mr. fixedit, I was having problems with my remote. It pretty much worked when it wanted to. So I took your advise and removed the front cover and sure enough the plastic grill was interfering with the IR signal, so I took a pair of wire nippers and cliped out some of the grid. Works great. I thought it was a bad remote. I have a insight cable universal remote that i'm trying to program to control the volume still working on that. At least the remote that came with it works now. I'm really surprised that Vizio would design a grill cover that blocks the IR. Other than that it's a great sound bar, sounds as good as my 5.1 sterio system. great sound quality with or without subwoofer.
I used the optical cable to connect, very simple connection, just follow instructions by switching inputs, it's the third light. So with a little nipping on the grill, this is an awesome unit.

It's great that it comes with the RCA stereo cables,
but where can one find the S/PDIF cable in order to get the 'digital sound' quality?

And it's not listed on your web-site either.

Good bang for the buck Review by MrSparky

If you are unhappy with the sound of your TV this is the least expensive option to get a very noticable improovement. I have a relatively new 42" Vizio TV but I was not happy with the muffled sound. I often found myself turning on the volume very high to properly hear the dialog. I was not willing to pay lots of money ore deal with the setup for a full surround sound system so I gave this a try.

Well worth the money. Installation was easy. The sound is greatly improoved. Speach is nice and clear, sound effects and music sound great.

My only complaint, like most, is the remote. IR reception from the provided remote is horrible. I will program my universal remote and see if it works better. Others have suggested that the location of the IR receiver on the bar is obscured by the speaker grill.

Excellent Value and Performance Review by Mr_Albert

I purchased my Vizio sound bar last night from Wal-Mart in Georgetown, Delaware. Took it home and had it connected and up and running in less than 5 minutes AFTER I made a trip back to the store to get the fiber optic audio cable I forgot the first trip.

I have a small video room in my house and I did not need a lot of speakers, just one quality one and I found it in the Vizio VSB200. I could not ask for a better sound using the TSHD. This if better than a good value. It is a excellent piece of equipment and I am grateful to a friend that pointed out to me that I could buy the Vizio for $98 at Wal-Mart when they wanted $300 for a bar speaker at Best Buy.

Thanks for the great product.

Very pleased with the purchase. Review by Al

I couldn't be happier with the quality of sound. Great compact product at an affordable price. The only problem encountered is programming the soundbar to my Dish remote. If a 3-digit code exists, would like to have it. Would highly recommed this product.

Excellent Sound and Value Review by drummertom

I bought the VSB200 yesterday, and last night used it for the first time. I noticed the clarity of spoken sound immediately, and for the first time. Even without a subwoofer the bass was quite an improvement over the built in speakers of my 47 inch Phillips. I might add a subwoofer later, We are also a little hard of hearing, but last night we watched TV and had no problem understanding anybody. For the price of $89 at Wal-Mart, it is an outstanding buy, and I bought a with a 3 year Square Trade Warranty for $11.08. The remote seems to have trouble sending it's signal to the sound bar from time to time, I also have tried several sub woofers to hook up to the single RCA hook up but could not get any of them to work at all. Would like to know how to make that hook up work.

excellent Review by Bob4711

Wanted better sound than the tv speakers gave. They are pointed down. What a difference, great sound and stereo, remote leaves a lot to be desired, but works ok. Well worth the money. Better than I had hoped for the cost. Bought the optical cable but hear very little difference than with the RCA cables. Buy this product.

Fixed the Remote Issue Review by FixedIt

You need to clip several of the sections of the plastic grid away from the left side of the LED opening on the speaker grille. The plastic bars are preventing the IR signal from getting through to the receiver. Once you open up the area around the IR receiver, it works like a champ.

Excellent Value & Sound!!! Review by nightowl1050

I purchased the vsb200 at walmart for $98.00 and i think it was worth every penny! easy to hook up also. i have my tv, dvd player & a vcr running through it. the sound is superb! the only problem i have is the remote. its a bit on the cheesy side, but it can be lived with. over all, its a great buy, and it beats running wires all over the place. i really like it!

Great sound Review by Craig

Added this sound bar to my Sony LCD tv - great sound. The remote could be better but does get the job done only need to aim it at the right side of bar. I tried to use a optical cable but could not get any sound, switched over to the cable that came in the box and it works.

Clarity of sound Review by Grampy

I bought the VSB200 yesterday, and last night used it for the first time. My wife and I noticed the clarity of spoken sound immediately, and for the first time we heard background music on some of the network programs. Even without a subwoofer the bass was quite an improvement over the built in speakers of my 47 inch Vizio XVT. I might add a subwoofer later, but that will have to be determined over a period of use. We are also a little hard of hearing, and usually watch TV with the closed captions on, but last night we watched TV without the CC, and had no problem understanding anybody. For the price of $89 at Costco, it is an outstanding buy, and it comes with a 3 year Costco Warranty, because we bought it with our Costco Amex card.

VSB200 rocks Review by Rusty-OKC

I installed this on my 60" Mitsibishi DLP for when we watch a football game or movie and the sound bar is awesome. It blows the TV sound away and rivals the surround sound system I have. My only issue is the remote has never worked so will try to get another from Vizio. One other thing, I can never tell when it is on or off since there is not a light or anything else I have found yet. Kind of strange.

vizio has missed it mark Review by buck

I bought my first Sound Bar because the TV set inside an entertainment center & the sound was muffled and required a very high volume to hear (I'm hard of hearing).
Then when the ads came on my volume setting would blow anyone else out the room. The TVOL feature keeps this from happening. The ads are the same volume as programing & it seems to really work.
I think Vizio is missing the boat by not parlaying the TVOL feature. This feature alone makes the Sound Bar a Must Have.

Great sound value! Review by Michael

Bought the Vizio Sound Bar today from Walmart to use with our new 42" Vizio we purchased for the bedroom. It is great. The overall sound improvement over the Vizio TV speakers is well worth the price. I had a low audio hum in the Vizio 42" which was fine with volume up but annoying at low volume levels. I shut the internal speakers off and use just the Sound Bar. I mounted it above the TV with the optical cable feed. Programmed the Sound Bar to work with the Direct TV remote in the AV1 position. One remote is nice. Great sound, easy connection, and good price at $98. Great job Vizio.

Great value Review by zoso

This sound bar is great if you are no more than 12ft from it. My tv is set up around 10ft away from the couch and it sounds great. I don't even need the wireless sub but i could make it an option later . If you are more than 10ft though you are gonna lose some quality. I had trouble with my call of duty on the PS3 but i adjusted the audio output and fixed the problem. If you are trying to save a little but want some pretty good sound I recommend this unit. Especially if all your tv has is audio OPTICAL out!( thanks LG you morons)

Awsome sound Bar Review by Krankster

I just bought a soundbar the other day. Have it hooked up with my bedroom TV. Already have a Home Theater system for my main TV in my Living room. But been wanting to also get a Home Theater system for my bedroom TV. But did not want to have speaker wires all over my bedroom. But then I spotted these Vizio soundbars at Walmart. Went home and read up on soundbars. After doing my homework.Decided to get one for the bedroom. Set up was easy. Have an HD DVD player hooked to the soundbar. The audio sounds fantastic.Yeah with The TrueSurround turn on it does sound like there are sounds behind you.Sounds awesome. Yeah and I also have a Yamaha Subwoofer hooked to the soundbar. So I can have some bass when watching movies or TV series. I'm very happy with The Vizio soundbar.

Nice alternative to receiver sound system Review by zjan

Had to make a few adjustments to the outputs on DVD and Cable box. Once PCM and 48kHz were selected all was great using the optical connection. Nice sound and easy to use. Was also able to integrate it into my Harmony 880 remote with no problems!

SOUNDS AWESOME IN MY MAN ROOM! Review by Rob

I have a 42" JVC Flat Screen in my man room as well as my projector and other goodies (blu ray, xbox, wii, etc...). I had a 1000 watt surround sound hooked up and it was ok for the space (144 square feet). I had heard reviews about the VSB200 and decided to pick one up. OMG! The difference in sound is like night and day. I took down my surround sound and using only the sound bar, and it sounds like I am in the theater. AWESOME PRODUCT!!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Damn nice sound bar Review by KrasH

Like most TV's the speakers that are built in to my LCD Plasma are not the best in the world. I was simply tired of not having decent sound on my second TV, found this sound bar for a good price, not as good ad the 90.00 deal the last reviewer paid, but still not to shabby of a price.

The sound quality is really nice, the dynamic range is pretty good and it does have good headroom even when not mounted above the television. The level TV volume feature is very nice as this is on my TV in the bedroom, keeps a nice steady level and does not jerk my girlfriend awake at night/morning.

My only beef is with the mounting, needs to be adjustable instead of fixed, being able to move the bracket two inches left or right would be a huge improvement. Still very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it if you can find it for $100.00 or less.

Bells and whistles + Review by value hound

The only such device with everything needed for television audio contained in an attractive affordable package. The staff at vizio addressed a minor connection issue of mine by furnishing me a new soundbar,no questions asked. I've had major success using the optical port and my own choice for the subout feature.

SoundBar Rocks Review by DaSheriff

Had been looking to improve the quality of sound from my 42inch Vizio . I didn't want to more than 2-3 hundred dollars on speakers , one friend suggested a Bose system .
Well the price was around $500 and some change , I'm not wanting good sound to that price tag . Well finally came across the sound bar on the internet , and then saw 3 of them in our local Wal-mart . Snatched one up so fast and took it to the check-out , well trust me , I have been pleased and happy beyond words . Easy to connect , matches perfect with the Vizio T.V. & Blue ray player , and the black glass stand t.v.stand everything is sitting on. And the quality of sound is awesome , I ididn't get the system that has the wireless sub-woofer , but the sound bar alone is on point , and i enjoy my t.v. even more now .

Excellent product Review by Harold

I purchased a 32 inch Vizio HDTV 120 Hz from Sams. The sound was very good, but I wanted a little more. I purchased the VSB200 Sound Bar and am very happy with it. I really like the fact that it keeps the volume the same during commercials and as I change channels. I recommend Vizio highly.

Simply Amazed Review by TV Buff

I had purchased the 32" Vizio SV320XVT and was blown away by all of its features, even the sound, which on most TVs are usually lacking.

I wasn't really looking for a sound system for my TV, but happened to stumble upon this speaker bar mislabeled as being $89.99 and decided i should pick it up before they realized it was $110.00 less than it should have been!

All I can say is WOW! This sound bar is so rich and full and even has enough bass for me that I don't need to purchase the wireless subwoofer, which is good since I live in an Apartment complex.

If you are on the fence about Vizio products, don't be. So far, I'm 2 for 2 on excellent value, exceptional quality, and products that have never ceased to leave me or friends amazed.

Vizio Sound Bar Review by Monroe

I needed something to replace my surround sound but I did not want to pay a lot. I happened to run across this in Walmart at a much cheaper price and decided to give it a try. I already have a Vizio 32" TV so I figured the sound bar should be good. It sounds wonderful. I am very satisfied so I think my next flat panel tv will be a Vizio.

Excellent product. Great sound improvement. Review by Bud

Bought one of these bars today from one of Uncle Wally's stores to use with our 42" Vizio. It is great. That it pretty well levels the sound volume from station to station is super. Keeps the wife (with hearing aids) off my bum. She thinks I change the volume station to station. The overall sound improvement over the Vizio TV speakers is well worth the price. I like this bar without the woofer because I have no line of sight spot to place the woofer in my TV room. When I told my wife I did not want a woofer she said she thought we agreed several years ago that we did not need another dog. Don't laugh, seriously, in case the Vizio people read this, the big drawback is that the sound volume and mute can not be controlled by my satellite remote or the Vizio TV remote control.

I just purchased this from Wal-Mart and I'm so pleased with it. I had a big receiver with all the surround speakers. This takes up alot less space and the sound quality is AWESOME! I would recommend using the Digital Audio Cable for the best sound. Very nice product!!!!

Pretty Darn Good... Review by Robert

I purchased a 55 inch Samsung LED TV and all though the picture is awesome the sound is left to desire since because of it's slim design the speakers are on the back of the TV facing the wall and while using the wall mount from Samsung the TV is basically flush against the wall causing me to have to turn the volume up all the way to be able to hear it... A friend suggested the Vizio sound bar and I actually got a factory refurbished unit for only $89.99 online and I have been very impressed with the product. The remote control is the only "Negative" as it's a cheap piece of plastic but my universal remote was able to program and match up with the sound bar so I am able to control it from there. I have been so impressed with the sound bar I physically turned the TV volume to zero and the only sound I use is from the sound bar hooked directly to the TV via an optical audio cable for best sound... The sound is great and fills the living room greatly even with the vaulted ceilings... Even brand new at $149.99 at Wal-Mart this is a great sound bar for the money.. would highly recommend to any one looking to add an inexpensive sound bar to their system..

Great product for the price! Review by Dan

I purchased the Vizio VSB200 from Walmart on special for $128.00. Had a little trouble hooking up to my Panasonic 54" Plasma until I purchased an Optical cable and it works great. I had an RCA home theater system that wasn't in use so I took the Subwoofer and hooked it to my Vizio sound bar and together they sound GREAT.

The Best for the price Review by Kathleen

I bought the Vizio HD sound bar to go with my Vizio LCD 37" TV. I wanted to improve the quality of the audio of the TV. I did not want surround sound and all the several speakers as the TV is in the bedroom.. The Vizio sound bar was easy to install using the excellent directions that came inside the box. The Vizio sound bar is more than I hoped for and am very happy with it -- perfect for my bedroom -- would also be suitable for other rooms as well.. Vizio pays attention to detail with the packing. I would like to have longer cords for the audio red & white plugs. I am happy with the product and will be purchasing more Vizio in the future. Thank you Vizio!!!!!

vizio sound bar Review by Jim

I bought this sound bar at Wal-Marts and only paid $143.00 for it. The sound is awesome just wish I had bought the one with the subwoofer. Really like the true sound especially when commercials come on.. The volume stays the same.. I would recommend this to anyone...I use it with my 46" LCDHDTV Samsung..

another winner from Vizio Review by Tom

I recently purchased a 55 inch LCD from Vizio....we love the TV (our second Vizio tv) although the sound could be better on this one so we just purchased this sound bar. It actually sounds better than I imagined when we played a DvD, the bass is not too overbearing (also you do not have speakers all over the room) yet somehow it creates a nice mix of everything for what I would consider not too much money. Thanks Vizio for making another better than average product for a reasonable price vs. those well name brands that cost a lot more $$$.

love the sound bar Review by Larry

I bought the sound bar because it had the srs TruVolume eliminates undesirable increase in volume when commercials come on and channel to channel volume variances. Now I can hear more of the actors talking without the loud sound on some shows.
