tilt doesn't always work Review by todd

We installed it correctly. Good directions. Easy to install. But the tilt feature doesn't always work. I sometimes think it's defective (could be). It'll tilt down one day, then won't move back up for the next couple days. It's supposed to hold a 55" TV but I think it's not strong enough 'cause I sometimes have to help the motor by pushing up on the TV to tilt it up. I called tech support but they were absolutely not helpful at all. I was shocked at how ignorant they were about this product. When I try to use the remote I hearing clicking in the back of the TV. The cables are all OK.

I recently installed this mount only to later discover that the auto tilt feature doesn't work with my 46" Sony XBR Bravia.

I then plugged the optical audio cord into my Apple TV and now the auto tilt feature works flawlessly! One caveat though, Apple TV doesn't have an on/off switch and usually only goes into standby mode. So, in order for the Apple TV to send a signal to tilt up or down, I connect the Apple TV to an "eco" power strip and turns it on and off at the same time as my TV.

Excellent TV wall mount Review by John

I love this thing! It's easy to mount (comes with a mounting template) and works great. The supplied optical cord actuates the motor flawlessly. There are three settings to set the tv to your taste for viewing. Mine mounts a 55 inch Samsung, and has no problem whatsoever with moving it down or up. If I had another flat screen tv, i'd use this motorized tv mount again.

This adds a real geek factor to your TV set up. Not only does the TV look better stowed in the flat position, but you can mount it higher and have tilt down to your favorite viewing angle. Then there also the sound of your friends amazement as it tilts.
The mount was easy to set up, just make sure you have a stud finder and a drill. The instructions were pretty good, just remember when it asks for the positioning pin, its already installed in the mounting frame. (I bet I looked 30 minutes for that thing.) It also mounts really close to the wall, which is both good and bad. Its better aesthetically, but if you want to put a cable in after the fact, it's a real pain. The only negatives are that it used my one and only optical port, which is prime real estate if you need it to return sound to your audio receiver from the TV. I fixed this by installing a $4 optical splitter. My other complaint is the power cord at the TV end is perpendicular to the TV/Wall, so when you bring the mount down for viewing its squishing the electrical cord into the TV and the wall a little more than I like. I tried several different position with the adjustment pin, but can't find one to alleviate this. Overall its excellent buy and for the price (cheaper at Walmart ) its worth the difference just for the geek factor alone.

This has to be the greatest invention since the wheel. We needed to tilt our Vizio flatscreen to eliminate ceiling light reflection in our bedroom. When I saw this at Costco I couldn't believe my eyes. It was easy to install and works like a charm. Just turn on the TV and the unit tilts to where you set it, up to 13 degrees. And when you turn off the TV it automatically tilts back to flat with the wall. I installed mine about 6 months ago and haven't had to touch the tilt controls since then. Set it and forget it!

Vizio motorized wall mount was easy to install. The built-in level glass on the mount made the installation. The provided optical cable to the TV from the motor was great.
Turning on the TV tilted the 52 inch screeen forward with easy, turning off the TV retracted the screen back. What a great feature.

Received as a Chrismas gift from my son-in-law which he bought it from Costco. Installatrion is piece of cake, need 2 persons to mount my 52" HDTV on it and the motorized mechanism works like the champ.Strongly recomend for purchase.
