Nice player and wireless works good, dont like the remote, sticky buttons and hard to read in dim light. now here is my beef, needs USB to support for mp4's and avi files so I can hook up my drive with movies on it and watch movies from it.

- love it-but needs a hulu plus app! Review by Jess

Set up couldn't be easier it took less than ten minutes. We have had this player for about 3 or 4 months now and it still works great. We love using netflix and pandora on it. We would also like to be able to use our Hulu plus account on this device. We will love this player even more if that ever happens and would be more likely to recomend this product.

A VIZIO Blu-Ray player was bought for me in Walmart* last May 2011 as a gift, to use in my bedroom, and I found that it needed to be wire connected. =(
Well, then I went to Best Buy, Walmart*, and the cable company to find a solution and buy the right equipment. I had asked a lot of questions and found it to be confusing. I went to Walmart* and started looking at other Blu-Ray players... And that's when I saw another VIZIO Blu-Ray player that looked like mine. Not yet knowing it was wireless, I started asking questions again. The guy pointed out that the one I was pointing to was a wireless version of the one that was purchased for me. I was so happy to find out that wireless Blu-Ray players actually exist. This would save me time, a lot of questions, confusion, extra equipment, and money. So, I went home and picked up the VIZIO Blu-Ray player, brought it back to Walmart*, and exchanged it for the VIZIO VBR220 wireless Blu-Ray player.
It easily connected to my HDtv and our wireless high speed internet. I put a PNY memory stick (16gb) in the USB port for BDLive features and it works beautifully! =+)
I have been using it for months now and I love it! VIZIO is wonderful!!! It works better than the more expensive Blu-Ray player my step dad bought for the living room.
Now, after finding out that it can also make updates to include new Apps like BLOCKBUSTER, I can hardly wait to see what other Apps I will be able to include on it. I'm looking forward to Apps like Amazon Instant Video and YouTube. I made some phone calls to VIZIO about it. They said that they are in the process of getting Amazon Instant Video for my player but aren't sure about the YouTube App. In any case, I'm looking forward to what new updates will be coming in the near future. And, I imagine, the future of VIZIO is a bright one. It looks promising to me, a happy consumer. =+)(Posted on 8/26/11)

I always wanted a Blu-Ray player... Wal-Mart had two display items for sale. I wanted to pick Samsung, but was a little high in price, so I chose Vizio. I also got a universal remote by Vizio.
The setup was done in under 10 minutes. I have it connected through ethernet, and I've been browsing some of the apps. Pretty good selections to choose from... They also have netflix!
Later I'll be getting more Vizio items.(Posted on 7/23/11)
- great player but... Review by viziowner

This is a great player that took less than 10 minutes to setup. Only drawback is that you can't watch Blockbuster. Netflix is raising their prices. Adding a Blockbuster app to download with the firmware update would go a long way in cementing my loyalty to Vizio products.

- Great Machine Review by Wolfie

I have owned this Blu-Ray player for 4 months now. I have had no problems with it. I really love the convenience of have NetFlix when I want and the option of watching VuDu for a different selection of movies. Sometimes slow when connecting to the WiFi but it has always connected. Was so impressed with this player that I bought one for my brother for his birthday.

- Even Better After Firmware Update Review by Dark
-
I purchased this player in December 2010 at Walmart and have been very happy with it. The three things that sold me on this device is that it has built-in wifi, has NetFlix, and the price. For what you get out of this player $138 is an excellent price. I'm able to play both blu-ray and regular dvds flawlessly. The blu-ray discs do sometimes take a little time to load, but that really doesn't bother me. There are a few internet apps to choose from, but not as many as with other players. However, the basic apps that most people use are included such as NetFlix, VuDu, Pandora, and Facebook. The UI is rather simple and easy to navigate and setup is easy as well. I have found that NetFlix is a bit glitchy out of the box. I had issues with rebuffering (fails to rebuffer videos), freezing, and losing track of where a movie left off. The app didn't even have a search feature. However, after updating the firmware those problems were solved and Netflix even got a search feature. The player even seems to be running better since the update. The update became available the last week of April, so those that were getting the Server Error message when trying to update shouldn't anymore.
Overall I love this player and recommend it to those that want an easy to use player and have the features they want without spending a bundle to get it.(Posted on 5/15/11)
- Great bluray player hands down Review by Ivan

Like some of the other reviews here, I've always disliked the remote that comes with this player, but I overcame that pretty quick by programming my Dish Network remote to control the player.
This player just got even better with the last firmware update (~April 15 I believe), because the Netflix app now has search built into it. Make sure you go into your system settings and check for an update.
Great picture and sound quality, too easy to setup network whether it be wired or wifi, and great price. Best midrange player available right now, in my opinion.(Posted on 5/12/11)
