i got this tv for Christmas and i play my xbox on it. With the HDMI cord it make the picture great. My aunt has the 32 in version of this and it is not as good of quality as this. By far if i had to pick between this and the big one i would pick this one. But then again i only play a foot away but is a great desk tv. But is you play xbox/ps3 and you play xbox/ps3 competitively GET THIS TV. Please also visit youtube.com/Bonomo14

I replaced the nearly 15 year old tube-type TV in my bedroom with this TV and I am impressed. I didn't know how much of a difference there would be for picture quality but I love it! I signed up for HDTV and got a Blu-Ray player for Christmas and all I can say is WOW! And as soon as Uncle Sam gets me my tax refund, this won't be the only Vizio TV in my house!

- Still going strong! Review by asteidl

I've had my Vizio 22" for just over a year now (the M220VA model, here), and have been using it as a computer monitor and TV. TV decodes cable great, automatically changes zoom between digital and analog channels. On the computer side of things, have had this TV running almost 24/7 for a year now, with a screensaver (of course!), and the TV (almost said "the tube," LOL) is still going strong. I also have a VCR (yes, that's right, a Video Cassette Recorder) hooked up, and an X-Box (not a 360). Oh, and a DVD player with so-called "HD Upscaling." Will be getting a Blu-Ray player soon, with Netflix capability, maybe give my computer a rest, LOL. The 22" size is perfect for my RV, that I live in. Also, I like the small (<1") border around the screen. My neighbor has a 22" LCD, it has a 3" border around the screen, he can't fit it in his entertainment center!
Anyhow, after a year of owning this TV, I still say, IT ROCKS! For the price (I paid less than 300 for it), full HD picture, connectivity options, and endurance, I highly recommend this TV for anyone needing a HD "tube" in 22" size.
Vizio, FTW!(Posted on 6/11/11)

- Great set, with one fatal flaw Review by Liz

We evaluated this TV alongside an equivalent model Samsung. My father is an avid fan of Vizio products, and I of Samsung, so I figure together we probably gave both a fair shot. ; )
We paid $280 for the Samsung and $240 for this Vizio. We ended up choosing the Samsung, but not for a reason that would apply to most people, as we were considering them for installation in a client's office on monitor arms.
Picture Quality:
Side-by-side at out-of-the-box settings, this model was just as good as the Samsung. Crisp, clear, and bright. About the only edge the Samsung had was very, very slightly better richness in the colors. There was certainly not $40 worth of difference.
Sound Quality:
We didn't test this (had to go through DVI to HDMI adapters as our test computer did not have HDMI) but from our experience with other Vizio TVs, I would wager that it is just fine.
Other:
The build quality seemed fine. We didn't throw them around or beat on them or anything, but the Vizio felt a little sturdier. The Samsung kinda looked a bit nicer, and its case was the kind that made scratches less noticeable, but that would hardly have been a deciding factor.
Unfortunately, what made us have to go with the Samsung in the end was the power cable. This Vizio has a built-in one, which for normal use is not a big problem. For us, though, it's a big no-no. We can't replace them ourselves in the case of one going bad or getting damaged. Most importantly, the monitor arms require power cables longer than the ones that come with this set.
So to conclude, I guess: if you aren't installing this on a monitor arm, or if you don't commonly have issues with damaged power cords, you will probably be very happy with this set. : )
But please, please, Vizio, no more built-in power cables! They have cost you the sale of 7 TVs today that we would have really liked to give to you! : ((Posted on 4/12/11)

5 Star ***** Rating
I've had this for a little over 6 months and I have to say I am more than satisfied. I think you should advertise that you are an American Company on the front of box. I'm proud to say this was Designed in the USA. Picture blows away Sony and keeps up with Samsung and LG if not surpasses! Speakers could be more powerful, sound quality is great just needs a little amp nothing a sound bar wouldn't fix. I use it as my monitor also only reason I didn't get a bigger one.
Keep up the great work!(Posted on 4/10/11)
- Buy the TV, but don't expect good sound. Review by JoeM

I just bought the22" M220VA at our local Walmart store. Had trouble fitting the base to
the TV. Went back to Walmart and found a sales rep. that had experience on how to apply the base. He had to use most of his strength to put it on. The picture is very good,
but the sound system needs work by your staff. Many of your review people had to add
speakers to improve the sound. My 19" Magnavox has very good sound. All in all it is a good unit. I am using it in the kitchen area.(Posted on 3/7/11)

This TV makes the 3rd Vizio in our house. We caught this baby by waiting online all night for Walmart to roll it back to $198.00. At 5:00 a.m. in the morning we hit checkout, and it arrived two days later. We already have the 55", and the 37", and this 22" is for the master bedroom. Our other two sets are 1080, and this one is 720p, but still not a bad picture. Thanks Vizio,we love your products, and this is the only brand we trust for LCD/LED TV's.

My wife bought this tv for me for Chrstmas. I had been checking Comsumers Report for some time reading the reviews of Vizio as a whole. Now that I own one, I can see what all the talk has been about. It is without a doubt the clearest, brightest TV I have ever owned. Even better than our New Panasonic 50" Plasma. I would also advise getting a TV wall mount and a Vizio Sound Bar, with or without the sub woofer. What a great improvement. So, If you have been considering a Vizio product, go ahead and take the plunge. Like me, you'll most likely be happy you did.
