VIZIO, located in Irvine, Calif., is hiring for the following position:

The Product Manager position, based in Irvine, is responsible for identifying new product growth areas for VIZIO, primarily focused on new revenue and margin opportunities outside of our core TV business. New products to include Monitors, TV Accessories, Home Theater, Audio, Blu-ray, Mobile TVs, Convergence hardware.
 
This position requires the ability to perform technical studies of market trends to assist in overall roadmap development of VIZIO products. Other duties include: generating product requirements; determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; developing marketing strategies and a competitive analysis. This position reports into the Vice President of Products.
 
Additional job responsibilities include the following:
1) Contribute to core 18-month roadmap development through analysis of market data and working with key technical suppliers and market research.
2) Evaluate International Requirements for the 18-month roadmap.
3) Assist with public relations and product launches in writing market specifications, definition of packaging, manuals and other key marketing collateral.
 
Required Job Experience/Skills:
· 5-10 years experience in product management
·3-5 years experience in consumer products as a product manager
·2-5 years experience in technical business practice
·1-3 years experience in managing direct reports/people management
·Strong written and verbal communications skills
·Effective negotiation skills
·Planning and organizational skills
 
Education:
BS required, prefer Electrical Engineering Degree
