- Buying another one. Review by Bob

I use this tv at our breakfast bar. It is connected to a high def cable box and to the hdmi output of a small desktop computer. Does a fantastic job as a TV and as a Monitor. Thin design, great styling, great picture, and considering its thin profile, the sound is ok. Not Home Theater quality, but who would expect that in a set this thin. My only complaint, is that the menu screen pops up on its own. Have a feeling it may be caused by the computers wireless keyboard and mouse. Am now looking at a 26 inch one to do the same thing, but in the computer room.

I ordered this TV from WalMart online and received it about a week ago. I plugged it into my DirecTV box and I must admit, the overall picture & sound quality of both HD and non HD channels is very good.
It's a very slim TV, so it will fit nicely on a shelf or the dresser in your room.
The remote control is small and has a nice quality feel to it (I hate remotes with thousands of buttons. This remote is NOT one of those).
The only additional thing that I decided to do was purchase a VESA-Compliant monitor stand for it, which allows me to rotate the TV easier and raise it up or down for viewing comfort while in bed. The stand provided only allows you to swivel the TV's angle up or down.
The stand I bought was (it works well with this TV):

It's a good TV, folks.(Posted on 8/11/10)

I bought this tv because my 25 year old sony finally kicked the bucket. My first impression of this tv is that it is gorgeous. I absolutely love everything about it. It has a lot of inputs and the picture quality is amazing. The sound was surprisingly very good. What I love most about this tv is that it has a glossy screen which makes the picture quality 100 times better than a matte screen. The packing is also very nice and it comes with an exceptional full color manual. If you were wondering about buying this TV just go out and buy it and you will not be disappointed. Plus vizio is an American owned company so you will be buying a home grown product and not some imported crap. I hope in the future Vizio will make more glossy screen tvs like this one because I absolutely love it.

- Fantastic TV Review by DLM
-
I've had this T.V. for a while now and I thought I'd give everyone my impressions of it...
About a couple of months or so ago, I was looking to replace my Insignia hand me down from my sis. It had terrible quality. A limited VGA resolution, no HDMI inputs- it sucked really bad but it did the job at that time. Being a tech junkie, I had been hearing about LED TVs for a while so I started looking up new TVs and I came across this one. Went to my local Sam's Club and bought it.
I really love this TV and it was quite the bargain at a little over $300. Games on my XBOX 360 are vivid (via generic HDMI cable) and there's a better variation in colors and detail compared to my old TV and even name brands. With this you see things you would have never seen on a standard set. This is hands down the best TV that I've ever played my games on. Nuff said...
As far as cable and everything, it performs just as well. If you don't have HD programming and your primary use would be for watching TV, I wouldn't recommend this TV or any HDTV for that matter. Standard def programming on ANY HDTV is blurry, pixelated and all around the worst picture you could get ever. If you do have HD programming, just another reason to buy this thing.
In conclusion, BUY IT!!! It is extremely cheap being an LED TV and 23". You will never find a bargain like this from Samsung, LG or Sony. This TV does just as good as those brands if not better. My only complaint is the remote. You have to point it directly at the TV for it to pick up the signal. Other than that, it's the best investment I've ever made. When you buy this you will not be disappointed. I promise you that.(Posted on 6/16/10)

We just bought this TV a had it mounted in our travel trailer. We absolutely love it. Our trailer is a 2001 so we had a 13 inch TV/VCR combo sitting on the space next tot he counter. Now we mounted this above and it picks up the digital channels and no more converter box. The clarity and color are great. Would recommend

- Nothing better. Review by Exigent
-
After researching and trying to find a TV specifically for my XBOX, I came across this one. Luckily, we had one up at my local WalMart for me to look at and compare against the other TVs in mind.
When I unboxed the TV and put the stand together, it's hard to believe that it's only twenty-three inches, because it seems so much larger than that, it has the appearance of at least a 26/27" LCD.
If you're thinking of purchasing this TV, do NOT hesitate, as it is a wise investment. If you're purchasing it for a gaming tv, you will not find a TV that is better. I guarantee it, if you're purchasing it for just the regular use to watch tv, If you're connecting to a cable box, use component cables or HDMI, if you use a regular coaxe cable you might see some slight grainy issues. So, make sure you use component or HDMI when hooking it up to a cable box.
As far as gaming goes (if anyone is looking at this TV for that sole purpose) the picture quality is PHENOMENAL. I went from a 27" CRT standard definition, to this Vizio. And I nearly drooled at how much of a difference it truly makes, I'm running 1080p via HDMI and my games on my 360 are breathtaking. There's so much more detail in games like Call of Duty that I didn't even know existed, from seeing every detail of a prestige emblem, to camo colors, to names being so clear and landscapes coming to life it seems.
For the pro's and cons, completely unbiased.
Pro's:
A( Amazing picture quality (A LOT of options for adjusting to your preferences)
B( The size is amazing. It's very slim, compact, yet still a large screen.
C( The design is flawless. Very glossy, extremely durable.
D( Options. Options are endless, whether you want to wall mount, or use it for a game room tv. Or you want one in your kitchen, or even use it as a computer monitor. Variety is the spice of life, and you can't go wrong.
Con's:
A( The volume isn't bad, but some programs can be slightly hard to hear, I was watching Justified and I had to have it on 50 just to hear clearly. Yet, watching The Hills on MTV I needed it on around 10-15 so it's not so much about the TV itself, it's more so channel based.
Over all, the TV is a steal at the price and an investment that you should make if you're looking to purchase a TV around this size and price range. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this TV.
I highly recommend this TV for anyone questioning their selves about buying it. You will not regret buying it.(Posted on 5/5/10)

I bought this TV at BJ's after purchasing the Vizio 19" for my kitchen. You can't go wrong with Vizio. I have 5 Vizio TVs now (19" & 23" LED, and two 32" & a 42 LCD) and I have had absolutely no problem with any of them. The picture quality matches or exceeds any other TV on the market and the price is very reasonable. One of the 32" TVs I use for my computer monitor which was my first Vizio bought in Dec. 06 and they all are still going strong.

I purchased the Vizio 23" Razor LED LCD for my 10 yr. old son to go in his playroom. It was a steal at $230. (I won a bid on ebay). We love the tv. The Wii and Xbox look great on it. We are considering the 46" also. You can't beat the picture quality for the size, and the thinness and lack of heat is absolutely fabulous! Way to go Vizio.

Did my research. Looked at all the models. Finally settled on this TV and it did not disappoint one bit. Got it for $300 at Costco and for the price, I don't think I could have even come close on any other brand. Picture quality is exceptional. I'm using the straight QAM tuner to pull channels off my Cablevision service and it pulled in lots of digital content, including the locals in HD. Beautiful!
Sound quality (built-in speaker) is good, not great, but perfect for a bedroom TV.
One feature not otherwise mentioned, even here on the Vizio site, is the ability to PAUSE live TV if you plug in a thumb drive! Great bonus!
My only complaint so far is that the remote seems a bit too "directional" for my liking. May be the batteries are low (using the ones that it came with), but I seem to have to REALLY point the remote at the bottom-left corner of the TV to get it to work at all. And odd that if I press '04' then "OK", (to change to channel 4), then press "07" right after it, it ends up trying to go to channel 0407...why doesn't the "OK" work as expected.
Anyway, this TV will NOT disappoint you!(Posted on 2/23/10)

I've had this TV for a couple of weeks and I LOVE it. The edge-to-edge glass is perfect when you have kids or when people touch it, the screen doesn't ripple like standard LCD screens and cleaning it off is a breeze. Overall Vizio did an amazing job designing this TV and is a must buy for the price and picture quality. Also, the sound is superb,

$300 at Sam's Club, my fiancée and I bought it for our bedroom after months of comparing brands and sizes between 19" and 26"...we decided on the noicable difference in size between the 19 and the 23 and littledifference to the 26". The LED backlighting and efficiency in energy and price made it our choice and the razor has displayed flawless picture and sound with little to no adjustment, I would recomend this as a small room tv for anyone from tv fans to movie or gaming buffs or an amazing pc monitor

My husband and I have been looking for a TV for our bedroom and he had researched the 23" Razor and we bought it. We were very surprised by the picture that this TV has, but should we because this is our second TV. The only thing that I can find that I would want different is the sound, but that definitely was not going to keep us from buying it. We love our Vizio's and will continue to buy them. We have recommended them to many and will continue to. GREAT JOB VIZIO!!!!!

Just bought the Razor 23" TV for a bedroom, and was pleasantly surprised to fine the nice quality of all its packaging. Excellent directions, easy to read large booklet and easy to it understand with pictures. Telephone numbers to get in touch, and just a pleasant all around package. Easy to hook up a usb cable for your pictures in the back and view all your pictures too. I have a dvd, video combo hooked up to it and it was all so easy to do. Would recommend to anyone who likes to watch movies, Tv, in the privacy of the bedroom.

I've been looking for the perfect high definition tv in a small form factor. Sure, 720Ps are inexpensive and you can get them anywhere, but I wanted the full blown 1080P. I started looking about 6 months ago, but didn't see anything that really fit my budget or particularly interested me, plus I wanted to wait for the LED backlighting technology to hit the shelves. Local dimming and prolonged life for the win. Then, while at Sam's club, I spotted this bad boy for $300. It lives up to it's name: the profile of this panel is very small, Plus 1080P, especially in a smaller TV like this 23", equals razor sharp clarity.
I use it for my xbox360, and as a computer monitor. It works really well for these applications. I don't subscribe to cable or satellite, nor do I really watch TV at all.(Posted on 2/1/10)

great audio and picture via surround sound and led backlighting instead of the
outgoing-outdated ccfl backlighting with decent 23" size screen from a
reputable television manufacture all at a affordable price that makes this deal
difficult to impossible to beat. the only thing that prevents it from being a perfect 10
is that the remote control is not backlit, other than that this tv set is perfect.(Posted on 1/29/10)

- Great HDTV for Xbox Review by Jason
-
Well I just purchased this Tv as a Gaming Tv for Xbox 360 and this is absolutely amazing. It is so nice my wife decided to take it and use it for her tv in the bedroom. although it is only 60 Hz it appears with no lag whatsoever. I have since then recommended and showed off this TV to all my friends and they went and got them. I am so satisfied with the new look and design that I am going to purchase the Vizio 110 Blue ray player on Wednesday just to compliment this Tv. I am a nerd when it comes to reviews and I love to look everything up as far as quality and performance. This tv at this price point is amazing and looks so sexy with its thin design. Go out and get one as there are plenty of places that have these on sale.

Originally bought to put on top of chest in bedroom but had to mount on wall with full swivel mount due to picture fading out when viewed from any angle other than straight on. Ended up liking wall mount better and picture is great as long as you're not viewing from an angle.

Bought both a samsung LED 23 inch and the vizio to compare picture quality and sound. We have it in our kitchen in a "shadow box" custom made to hold a tv. It sits above the frig which is above eye level. We are very pleased with the angles that you can view without distortion unlike the LCD set. The sound is a bit tinny, but we don't watch movies, etc. in the kitchen. So this is fine. You can adjust the sound by turning off the surround sound. This allows you to add more bass, etc. The color is great. The only negative is we have a very bright room and there is alot of glare reflecting off the "glossy" screen. You don't have that with an LCD. Otherwise, we really like the set.

I bought this tv after doing a lot of research between brands. The quality and price of VIZIO is something to be recognized. Everything down to the material and build quality of the remote is impressive. I have this tv in my bedroom, perfect size, and soon getting a mount for it. I use it with my Xbox 360 and it looks gorgeous. The SRS volume control is a great feature especially at night, and the surround sound works pretty good as well. Would HIGHLY recommend this TV to anyone. It's light, slim, and it produces awesome whites and deep black colors. For a TV this size theres nothing better. I will deff. be buying another VIZIO product in the future!

I bought this tv for my bedroom and xbox 360 and a little to use as a monitor.
For the price this is was one of the best tv's out there because it has the new
technology of led backlight and the contrast ratio was pretty good for the size
the sound was ok but when you get used to it it was fine. Most of all it was great for my 360. It has full HD wich was really nice for the size and even though it was 60hz there was no lag like they said there would be if you didn't have 120hz. Trust me for this size 60hz is fine. Overall for the price and the new technology and it's size portable to move compared to a biger LCD. This is truly one of vizio and the best 23" tv's you can get.(Posted on 1/10/10)
- Good second TV. Review by Josh G.
-
I purchased this TV at Costco a few days ago, and it has impressed me so far. The picture is excellent. The sound has been good (although the display model at Costco had its speakers blown out so they were crackling, which did make me a bit nervous). I have it in my living room now, holding a place for my VF552XFT which should be arriving in a few days, thanks to Vizio's VIA VIP program. After that I am going to get a wall mount and move it to my kitchen, where I think it will be great as a TV to watch games while cooking, etc.
The only things I really don't care for are the touch buttons on the screen for channel, volume, etc., so I just use the remote, and the other thing is the menu system/setup. It just seems clunky, compared to other TV's I have had before.(Posted on 1/6/10)

For the last three days I've been trying to find a 32'' 1080 TV with a contrast ratio over 10,000. (of course for a reasonable price) Then I came across this 23" LED for cheaper than it is on this site, so I compared everything in the store for about 45 min. & said screw it LED is the "new thing" & no matter what I'm going home with a new TV!
Iv'e had the TV since lastnight & with all these vivid colors I can't even tell the picture is 10" smaller from my last 32". VIZIO GOOD JOB!!
..only complant is for some reason I have to hook my 360 directly to the TV instead of the VCR & getting cable. I can't get any cable) HDMI?(Posted on 1/5/10)

I got this TV from Costco today and its awesome. I bought it for my bedroom and for use with my PS3. The picture is just fantastic and I love it. The only problem I have had is a buzzing echo sound after a few minutes of use on the PS3 with a HDMI cable, but other than that its a great TV.

Great TV for the Price I paid at BJ's ($299.00). Bought this for my bedroom. Waiting for Digital Set Top Box from Verizon, however, anaolg standard definition reception is exceptionally sharp. Colors are bright and very vibrant. Backlight LED technology creates a bright and clear picture. Can't wait to view digital1080p channels via HDMI input. Highly recommend purchasing this TV.

My wife bought me a VA22LFHDTV10T for Christmas for our bathroom and I was thrilled, until I walked into Costco today and saw the Razor. OMG! What a picture for such a small set. So I picked this up for $299 and am taking the VA22L back to Target. Don't get me wrong, the full 1080p on the VA22L is great, especially for $200, Target sale price, but for an extra $99, I felt the Razor was well worth it, especially for its size and features. I just can't wait for the VF552XVT to come out as it will be gracing my living room and retiring my 2003 Sony 34XBR 800 720p/1080i to my bedroom, at least until it quits working, then another Vizio will be in the room. My daughter saw the Razor and liked it so much, I'm returning the 24" Samsung T240HD that I got her for Christmas as a HDTV/computer monitor, and am getting her a 23" Razor too. I love Vizio, great products at a great price.
