I 've had my 47" Vizio for over a year now and am completely happy with the product. Just a stellar image every time on cable, bluray, DVD and though my Apple TV. All good for a reasonable price. Purchased at Costco. Only problem is the remote died on me but probably from lack of use while the batteries corroded.

BEST BUY YOU'LL EVER MAKE!! Review by JC

My wife and I purchased this TV at Wal-Mart around july 2010 and it was the best buy for the money I've ever seen! However price had absolutely nothing to do with it. I had intended to walk in and was prepared to spend around $3000.00. Usually as they say "you get what you pay for". Not in this case! Wal-Mart had around 25 televisions on display (about 5 or 6 different manufacturers) from under $600.00 to over $3000.00. It took us about 20 minutes (if that long) to decide which TV had the best picture quality, features etc. VIZIO SV-470M! Best pic quality of ANY of the other brands hands down! I've been an electronics technician for over 30 years now (retired) but don't know much about LCD/LED tv technology. But I do know I'll never purchase any brand other than Vizio again! EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!

I’m relatively new to HD Flat panel TV systems. A few months ago I purchased a VIZIO 32” for my home office. I don’t subscribe to cable or other communication services for TV broadcast. Therefore the free digital communications especially the HD channels are simply wonderful for my use. Cyber Monday 2010 is a date to remember, for I purchased the SV470M model. VIZIO produces quality products and provide excellent support service. I join the community of users in congratulating VIZIO for producing products of excellence.

I purchased the 47", 1080p, 120hz (SV470M) yesterday, and i absolutely LOVE IT! This is my 3rd Vizio telelvision. They make a fantastic product that can't be beat, especially for the price! If you love movies and you're going the LCD route, make sure you get a television with 120 or 240hz. The smooth motion technology is INCREDIBLE! You really have to see it to believe it. I'm also a huge sports nut, and the USA-Canada gold medal hockey game yesterday looked insanely good!

I've been so happy with all of my Vizio televisions (a 32", a 37", and now a 47"), and i purchased my first one back on Black Friday (November), 2007. Vizio has a repeat customer in me, because i've had nothing but great experiences with their products thus far.

MY HUSBAND GAVE ME THIS FANTASTIC TELEVISION FOR VALENTINES DAY. ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!!!!! THIS IS THE BEST PICTURE! I HAD BEEN SHOPPING FOR A HDTV, WAS LEANING TOWARDS 42' VIZIO. SO THIS 47' WAS AN AMAZING SUPRISE.

The both together is a great combo . i have a buddy that got a sony the same time i got my vizio combo he is kicking his self in the butt now he was at my house watching the supper bowl came on my vizio because it had a better picture. I just bought it yesterday 2/6/10 to replace a 46" Sony Bravia and boy what a difference. The picture quality is a absolutely a 1000 times better!! I very pleased with this purchase and the value for the price, so when it comes time again to purchase another TV it will be a Vizio! I also have to add I did not have to adjust the picture at all; it is a plug-n-play. Thank you Vizio and keep up the excellent job. Oh Sony claims that HDTV is in there DNA, WRONG it’s not!! It is however in Vizio's DNA!!!!! Thank you

I bought my first tv on 1/4/10, when I got it home it had a bright spot the size of a baseball in the lower left corner of the screen. I took it back on 1/8/10 to wal-mart and exchanged it for another, got it home hooked it up and it's perfect. I don't hold this defect against vizio. I work in manufactoring and know sometimes stuff gets past quality. You can't get a better tv with these option for this price(I know, I looked). I love this tv the only problem is now all I want to do is sit around and watch it!! I highly recommend this tv to anyone. Good quality, great options, great price, great picture, sound is ok for a tv I use a surround sound amp that sounds better, but it's suppose too. Buy this tv you wont regret it!!

got my tv yesterday, took it out of the box, it took about 30 minutes to hook it up, i am a person who like reading instructions first, and the quick set up instructions that they send along with the set are fantastic. turned it on and at 1 a. m. in the morning me and my wife it was time to go to bed. couldn't bring ourselves to turning it off. had to adjust the color a little, which was also very easy, to what i thought was right, my wife thought that the color was fine right out of the box, but i had to play a little. love the set and am now thinking about sending for the sound bar. got a great price on it also.

I'm a single father without much money to spend. I've been wanting a HDTV for some time now and the means finally arrived. I don't have cable but right out of the box after a auto channel search, I couldn't believe the high def quality right off my rabbit ears. The remote is user friendly without 100 buttons to navigate. Even my seven yr. old is able to use the remote and switch to PS2 and the VCR/DVD player. Five stars in my opinion VIZIO. I look forward to purchasing your Blue Ray soon.

We looked and looked, read review after review, and finally purchased this tv. Glad we did, it is awesome, easily setup straight out of box (maybe 20 minutes), has the best picture quality I've seen, and blueray play is unbelievable. It has a better picture than the 50" Sony Bravia 120hz my in-laws have. I recommend this TV. It is best bang for your buck. Walmart retails this right now at $998.00?

Bought this tv at walmart 12-21-09 hooked it up couple days later, out of the box, right now just have cable and sound hooked up, so far picture, color etc. looks great with no adjustments right out of the box. Picture quality is great, cable channels like HBO, Cinemax etc. and DVDs look great, HD. I have a surround sound hooked up but bought a vizio sound bar.

I get this HDTV for an incredible price!...I see at the store that Vizio TV real had better imaging, resolution that any others. When I play my first blueray movie here, i almost can belive the quality of image this tv can handle. Also I was surprise for the great sound of the tv, I really doesnt expect that. Got this unit for my girlfriend for Christmas and she was thrilled beyond belief. For the price, you just cannot beat Vizio quality over anybody else. If Customer Service is ever needed, they respond quickly and professionally to resolve the issue no matter what it may be. As a contract Vizio field technician, I work on these very units and know firsthand the quality of the work and the experience the customers have had with Customer Service.

Bought this SV470M 10/21/09 and for the money i had to spend its the best deal out there,and the blueray to match VBR100 the picture is over the top good,not to mention my laptop Toshiba x305 is hooked to it as well, Folks i do not get any sleep i am 49 going on 17. Yes the X360 is there as well THANKS VIZIO

I recently purchased this set in October 2009. I saw this TV at Walmart and was very impressed with the picture. It looked better than all the other name brands hanging around it with the same specs. I know everybody thinks "VIZIO who's that?" I have always bought the big boy brands of TV (you know who I'm talking about), but I'm here to say you will not regret this purchase.

I don't have HD service yet, but plan on getting it. Even without HD the picture is great. I was impressed. I wasn't expecting much of a diffrence, but I was wrong. Also I don't a have a Blu-ray player yet so I have been watching DVD's. When I first played a DVD my jaw literally dropped. Even though it was a standad DVD the picture was out of this world. It looked like HD. The movies play smooth. No blurriness in fast motion scenes or anything.

I also watch alot of sports on TV especially football. Keep in mind I don't have HD yet. Even without HD the motion is crisp and smooth. The colors are vivid and the detail is great. I could keep going on and on, but I can only type so much. The proof is in the picture.

Pros: Great Value, Awesome Picture, Overall the best TV for your money
Cons: Controller is basic, and on screen menu is a little bit annoying to navigate

Even with the Cons I do not regret my purchase.

Hurray for Vizio! Review by Paula

My husband & I absolutely love the picture on this TV. We are an older couple and still getting used to the new technology. We have some trouble with the sound until we
called the Vizio help line. I have never dealt with such nice people who really care about the fact that you are happy with your new product. An extemely courteous, friendly gentleman helped us and walked us through a problem with the sound, that eventually turned out to be the Cable company's problem. He stayed on that phone until the problem was resolved. We were not familiar with the Vizio brand, but now we will recommend it to everyone!
