We got this as a gift from our parents at Christmas, but now (5 months later) we realized we would LOVE the same TV with at least 1 USB port. We are very happy with the Vizio brand and will be buying more in the future, however, we will look closer at the details before making a purchase.

BIG WOW TV Review by Dave

My wife was seeing the heads moving before body, this has been happening so long she taught it was what was expected in all TV. Until she stood in front of many TV's in Tiger Direct. When she watched this TV for 20 mins all the pictures were startelling clear. Now 6 months later still Excellent.

Just bought this t.v. last night.. Am already in love it. Great price - 548 from Wal-Mart. Not bad at all. Picture is great even with regular a.v. cords. Haven't had trouble with the sound at all. Definitely a great buy.

I bought this t.v. a couple of days before black friday at walmart for $498 plus tax
I must say it was a hard choice there was alot of great deal but this vizio E420VO just cought my eyes and you know what I made the right choice. The picture is clear the sounds have some issue but, hey for the price it's well worth it. I play my xbox and with the HDMI cable OMG it's awsome. So if you'll looking for something around this price range VIZIO is the way to Go...

Just purchased the E420VO from Walmart a couple a days ago,and I am glad that I did. I don't think I could have bought a better TV. I have been getting good reviews on the VIZIO from friends now I see for myself that they were right. I would advise anyone to purchase this TV and of course, the price is not bad.

Did a lot of research before deciding on this set. Samsung and sony were in the mix. we were looking at this set but decided upon another vizio, same size , E420 VL
The VL is the 120 Hz model, everything else is the same. Well worth the upgrade, purchased at BJ's for $529.00, It was actually cheaper than the 60 Hz model , go figure. Do your self a favor and forget about the samsung or sony and save yourself over $250.00, go with the vizio VL model.

Bought this TV at Sams Club a few weeks back based on reviews, positive perception of the Vizio brand, and the value for the price - all aspects were correct. Installation and set up were very easy, and the user's manual/Vizio website were great. Picture is above average relative to similar TVs in this screen size and price range. However, the refresh rate is a little slow if you watch a lot of sports, and the built-in speakers are weak in my opinion (ours is connected to a home theater and is no longer an issue), but these tradeoffs are easy to overlook relative to the low price of the TV. It is a great value for the price and I would definitely recommend it to others.

I went to walmart on black friday to treat myself to a christmas gift, after researching several sites and reading tons of material to make an intelligent decision for my money the Vizio was head and shoulders above all others, a 42" for the family room and will purchase a 36" for the bed room... reviewed all of the models and vizio is definate the winner...a quality product with a great sound and razor sharp picture

Very pleased with picture quality and menu naviGreat economical tv. it has 1080p, HD and the picture is crisp T.V style looks just great. im using it with my ps3 xbox,This 42" LCD flat panel has a much better picture than all the others combined.I absolutely love it.I would recommend it to anyone looking for a 650.00 t.v. I never seen such a good sound quality on a tv before. The picture is great too. Gotta love it !

We have had problems with other TV's with the sound because we custom made a place for our TV that was boxed in the wall over a nonworking fireplace. Looks great but the sound was very poor on previous TV's. This TV looks and sounds great. The speakers are on front of the TV so the sound is not distorted behind the wall. The color and picture is clear. So far, I do not have any complaints!

I just bought this TV. I saw it at Walmart for $498 and since there is only a 20 dollar price difference between this tv and the tvs for black friday I went with this one. The picture is great and so is the sound. After doing some tweeking with the settings we got the tv to perfect everything. I am very happy with this purchase and I love my new tv.

We just purchased this last night 11/12/10 at Sam's Club for a great price. We have been shopping around for the better part of 3 years. Our friends have a Vizio and swear by the name brand. We are impressed by the easy connect to not only the cable with the HDMI cables and for the DVD and games system we have. The pictures is absolutely gorgeous! We are happy we finally made the purchase! Hope this TV last us a very long time.

I just went and sold my older 50" Sony SXRD rear projection TV for this beast. My older tv was loosing its picture and i wanted to get more up to date as i plan on getting a 3d TV soon i didnt want to purchase a high end set. This is more than what i asked for! I play xbox 360 and it looks great. The TV kept up with the high frame rates and had minimal to no artifacts on screen. I would HIGHLY recommend this television to anyone looking to get an amazing LCD with great audio as well!! Way to go Vizio!

i was told that the vizio is great so i went to walmart planning to purchase a loaf of bread. so i started to walking around and just happen to end up in the electronics department and at the same time running into an old friend. we talked shop. then tvs caught my attention. i sad said to my friend good to c you got to go get what i need. walked around the tv section and saw an sign open boxed sale 42vizio.. then i said to my self i guess im not getting the loaf of bread. now i cant wait to get the other stuff next time i go to walmart to get bread...

We have tested and rated over three hundred different brands and combined models. Our personal choice for digital TV entrainment; on the pricier end of the scale would be the Sharp Aquos Series, however on the "Most Valued" rated, VIZIO is by far the best over-all choice. We have a total of seven personal LCD screens that are over 42" in size - and of those seven, four of them are VIZIO. We recently tested, then chose to purchase three of this particular model (E420VO) - So far we are extremely please with the quality, resolution, inputs and outputs. After promotional discounts, we were able to obtain these brand new from Walmart for $393 each in Aug. 2010.

Shelf Price per unit $548 minus employee discount 10% = $493 minus $100 gift card, equals final discounted pricing of $393 plus tax!

If you break this down into size versus pricing, I purchased 126 inches worth of TVs for about $1,179 or about .52¢ per square inch.

We bought a smaller tv last year for the master bedroom and decided to upgrade.....so glad we went with this Vizio. I just bought this E420VO last night and I'm very impressed! Hooking it up was easy, the remote is sleek and it has way more features than I thought it would. Anywhere from the equalizer, screen sizes, even fix the picture depending on what your watching, or the audio to what your listening to! Yes this is my first flat screen and i'm totally happy with it. Next buy will be for the bedroom and im looking into one of the razor l.e.d's. Great product.

Great economical tv. it has 1080 and has 120hz. the picture is crisp. im using it with time warner cable and my ps3. i upgraded from a component hdtv and using the hdmi cable makes the picture awesome. setup was a breeze i just wish the stand rotated with a base standing still but otherwise is an awesome product.

For the purchase price, it just seems like an excellent value. The only feature I see missing is a "favorites channel" on the remote control, but I can live with that.
