Replace your overused or misplaced AC power cords. This AC power cord is designed to work with most TVs, PCs, monitors, scanners, printers and other devices that use the IEC 3-pin shroud power connector.
This 1.8M Universal AC UL Power Cord is equipped with a three-pronged grounded plug, a plug with a third (grounding) pin. This plug will fit only into a grounded power outlet as a safety feature. If your outlet does not accommodate a three-wire plug, have an electrician install the correct outlet, or use an adapter to ground the appliance safely. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the grounded plug.
When connected to a power outlet, power is always in your HDTV. To totally disconnect the power, unplug the power cord.

I really like the 55" Vizio we just bought. I have a suggestion though. The AC power cord plugs straight into the outlet in the back of the TV and therefore coming out makes mounting the unit close to a wall difficult, especially if the unit is tilted into the room at a slight angle. I know airflow across the unit is important and mounting too close to a wall is not recommended, however, you should make the cord such that it plugs into the back ot the TV making a 90 degree entry or make an adapter that would allow the cord to plug in at a 90 degree angle, or just change the cord so that the female end makes a 90 degree turn. Just a suggestion: this could make your terrific product even better. Thanks....I still liove the TV and and we bought it at what I thought was a great value.
