The 2014 M series was among the best-reviewed TVs at CNET, owing to its excellent picture quality for the money. It was a 1080p resolution TV, and aside from upgrading the lineup to 4K resolution, it appears the 2015 M series is very similar.
HDGuru.com - 2 / 20 / 2015
The line is called the “M” series, and offers 8 screen sizes from 43-inches ($599) to 80-inches ($3,999). While all have 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution, there are no quantum dots for a wider color gamut, nor high dynamic range capabilities that will be available from other vendors in select 4K models. 3D is also omitted. Like VIZIO’s 2014 4K UHD “P” series, the “M”s offer LCD panels using full array LED backlighting with local dimming. The 65-inch has 32 dimmable zones. Based on the specifications, it employs a 10-bit LCD panel.

When it comes to affordable, high-quality TVs, VIZIO has been leading the way for some time, and the P-Series is no different. Starting at $799 for the 50-inch model and going all the way up to $2,499 for the 70-inch variation, the VIZIO P-Series is one of the most affordable lines of 4K TVs on the market. I tested the 65-inch model, which will cost you $2,199 — a price that is still slightly unbelievable, given the sky-high price points of 4K TVs this time last year. Still, it has all of the features you would expect from a quality 4K TV: incredibly thin bezels, 5 HDMI ports, a 240Hz refresh rate, high-speed Wi-Fi (802.11ac), and the requisite Netflix, YouTube, and Hulu Plus apps.
If you’re a person who refuses to accept the status quo, believes that innovation starts with listening and constantly dedicates your day to finding better solutions, then you are a person who will flourish in the world of VIZIO.
